Volunteerism is supposed to be done on a voluntary basis, not forced upon us. I've had enough of this Marxist agenda. Have you?

You forget that we now have a government that no longer recoqnizes the constitution. With that said, I agree with you that this kind of socialist agenda is wrong. When I have children I will home school them as to keep them from these forced volunteer programs.
This is rather scary. I do think that young people should do volunteer work but the operative word here is "Volunteer". What bothers me most is that the government is taking over the duties that belong to parents.
the focus should be on encouraging young people to volunteer, not force. plus we have a lot more important tasks such as the terrible economy and the war in Afghanistan which the media seems to forget about...when I think its more dangerous than Iraq considering in the past few months Tony has lost mroe buddies there than they did in Iraq.
